Mountain Life in Colorado

It's 6:40 at night and the kids are in bed. No kidding. It's pouring rain out and pitch dark. We've had dinner, potatoes with onions, pepper and garlic powder. I still don't have salt yet which is tragic. But, oh well.
Today was a huge day. We took the bus to Santa Cruz. An experience in itself. It took 2 hours. Hot, hot, hot. We got on the bus at 8 and had to catch it back by noon. We walked to the center of town and had breakfast then we split up. Jack went to look for a bike and the girls went to get groceries. The girls took a wrong turn and had to back track but we found the store. Now we only had 20 min to shop for groceries before bording the bus. I was not getting to read the lables. So our shopping consisted of the basic stuff. We needed more but there was no time. So we paid for what we had and went to the bus station. Jack wasn't there and I was getting worried. We three are standing in line and here comes Jack, WITH A BIKE!!!!
It was huge. He got it for $45 and it even has a basket. I heve to continue this manana because the mosquitos are so bad right now and the only light is my computer. I can't take it.

So, are the mosquitos different there then like MN? When we were down in the Bahamas, I got bit up so bad and they blew up like the size of quarters. They itched so bad that i have scars now. yuck.

So, while you were shopping and time ran out... what kind of mood were you in??

The weather is chilly in the metro area. Its like 65 degrees. good sleepin' weather!

hi to jack and the girls!

btw, how do you get signal to the computer??

Hi Heather! I pulled up a map of Costa Rica so I could acclimate to where you are, the North Pacific Coast from what I can tell? It looks like beautiful beaches and awesome surfing!! I have enjoyed your blog, admire you guys for your travels. How are the girls doing? It sounds like they are doing good! Love the pictures! Lynne

Angie, the next bus came at 6pm. It would have been a long day waiting for it.
