WE MADE IT!!!!

We are here and all of our luggage made it safe and sound. It was a very easy and non-stressful flight although it was crammed full and every seat was taken. We were in the very last row which "note to self" those seats do not recline. It was a huge night trying to make sure Hannah was comfortable and sleeping. I paid for it. We walked off the plane, got through customs, no problemo, and gathered our luggage. The surfboard bag made it unscathed. We were warmly met, at promptly 5:30 a.m., with a sign that read "Heather Bussy" by a Tico named Wilson. Terrific and very helpful guy. We like him. He drove us to Grecia and told us so many cool things, about the volcano that was actually erupting, that we didn't know nor do I remember the name of the volcano. I'll blog tomorrow with the name. We got to B&B Grecia with Denny waiting at his doorstep for us and we were again warmly welcomed. What a wonderful place this is. Comfortable, Cozy, nice atmosphere, welcoming, great room for our family, etc. Denny couldn't be more nice. And he is heaps of information. I feel guilty for all of the information he is giving us. He knows our story now and he's been very informative. Thanks a ton Denny. YOU ROCK! He told of of a place to go for lunch knowing that we aren't the tipical Gringo's that need English speaking servers. He sent us to the center of town and we experienced the authentic Costa Rica. The girls kept having to bring us back to the markets we passed with the chicken feet, pigs head eyeballs intact, pigs heart, chicken gawd knows what... They were in awe. We sat down for lunch and ordered in Spanish. My family is still shy so I had to do all of the talking. I did very well, thank you. Of course, Hannah wants a hamburgesa. It's not the hamburger that she was wanting and she started to gag, literally gag, at the table. I hold out my hands for her with napkins in them, to barf in. She puts it together and never does. We still don't know what the heck that hamburgesa was made out of but I think her seeing all of the raw chicken, pig, meat, her imagination was non stop. We all agreed, no more American food during our time in Costa Rica. Tonight, we ended off the night at a restaruant called Galaria. A great place with excellent food. Recommended by Denny, of course. We had 2 Ny strips, grilled shrimp, Ahi Tuna, 3 outstanding desserts, and a bottle of wine for $60. I'm whooped. Time for bed. The fan is blowing in my direction and I'm looking forward to the beach tomorrow. Only a 4 hour drive they say. We know better. It'll be a long, hot, bumpy day in the van. Hasta Manana.
